Terms of Service

Loru is a studio for making and publishing YouTube Shorts, at https://loru.app and https://studio.loru.app. It is run by the operator named in §13, called “we” and “us” throughout. You can reach us at support@loru.app.

These terms are the agreement between you and us. By creating an account or using Loru, you accept them. If you do not, do not use the service.

You sign in with a Google account, so we never hold a password for you. You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to hold a Google and YouTube account where you live. Anything done under your account is your responsibility, so keep that Google account secure.

Everything you make in Loru — projects, scripts, uploaded footage, finished videos — is yours, and we claim no ownership of it. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service: storing your content, processing it to render your videos, and sending it where you direct it, such as uploading a finished video to your YouTube channel.

We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not publish it anywhere you have not asked us to. We look at it only to operate the service, to debug a problem you have reported, or as set out in the Privacy Policy.

Loru can generate voices, music, images and video clips through third-party AI providers, and can import stock media from third-party libraries. To the extent those providers grant us the rights, we pass them on to you for use in your videos, including commercial use on your channel.

• AI output is not exclusive. Similar prompts can produce similar results for other people.
• Stock media keeps its own licence. Some items require attribution. Where they do, Loru prepares the attribution for your video description, and it needs to stay there.
• Voices are for narration inside your videos. Not for standalone voice products, for impersonation, or for passing synthetic speech off as a real, identifiable person.

Do not use Loru to make or publish content that is illegal where you or your audience are, that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or likeness, that is designed to deceive (impersonation and undisclosed synthetic media of real people included), or that breaks YouTube’s own policies. Do not probe, overload, resell or programmatically abuse the service, and do not work around usage limits.

You are responsible for what you make and publish. If a video breaks the law or a platform’s rules, that is a matter between you, the platform and the law, and we may also suspend the account over it (§10).

Publishing uses YouTube API Services under an authorisation you grant from your own Google account, so by using the publishing features you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. You can revoke Loru’s access at any time in Google security settings. What we store from YouTube, and for how long, is in the Privacy Policy.

Loru has a free allowance, paid subscription plans, and one-time top-up packs. Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd) as merchant of record: Paddle is the seller on your invoice and handles the payment, the sales taxes and the billing support for it. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or yearly depending on the term you chose, until you cancel. You can cancel from the subscription settings in your profile, or through Paddle using the link on any receipt. Cancelling stops future charges and leaves your plan active until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Plans include monthly allowances: AI visuals (AI video and AI images draw on the same allowance), AI audio (voiceover and music likewise), publishes, exports and storage. Allowances are metered and enforced, and unused monthly allowance does not carry over. One-time packs never expire. The free allowance is one-time per person rather than per account, and does not renew.

We can change plans and prices for the future. A change does not alter what you have already bought: an active subscription keeps the allowances it was purchased with until you change plans, and we tell you about any change to your renewal price before it applies.

Uploaded footage and your library stay in your account for as long as the account exists. We do not delete your work on a timer, on any plan, with one exception: an item you remove from your library is permanently deleted about 30 days later, once no video is using it. Rendered video files are kept for about 30 days and can be re-rendered from your project at any time.

Cancelling a paid subscription deletes nothing. Your account returns to the free plan’s limits when the paid period ends, and your projects, uploads and library stay where they are. Only deleting the account itself removes your data (§11).

Loru is under active development: features change, and the third-party providers behind generation can change or be unavailable for a while. We aim for the service to be reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and scheduled publishing depends on YouTube accepting the upload. If something fails on our side, the Refund Policy says what we do about it.

You can stop using Loru at any time, and delete your account from your profile. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break §5, abuse the service, or create legal risk, with notice where that is practicable. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give at least 30 days’ notice and refund any paid, unused period.

Deleting your account removes your projects, uploads, library, generated media, rendered videos and personal data from our systems, revokes our access to your YouTube account, and cancels any active subscription immediately. Residual copies in internal caches clear within 30 days. Videos already published to your own channel stay there; they are yours. Deletion is permanent.

Loru is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits, lost audiences, or content removed by a platform. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or removes protections that consumer law in your country gives you regardless of what a contract says.

Loru is operated by PE DRYHA MAKSYM, the “we” throughout these terms and your counterparty to this agreement. The terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. If you are a consumer in the EU or elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in, and disputes may be brought in your local courts where that law provides for it.

When we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and tell account holders by email or in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Loru after that is acceptance of the new terms.
